To address this need, we designed the “Roots & Branches Workshop”—a full-day experiential journey blending strategic reflection, team-building challenges, and creative collaboration, all anchored in a powerful story. Framed around the metaphor of a magical tree shattered by dark forces, the experience symbolized the team’s disrupted journey and their opportunity to rebuild something stronger together. The program followed the natural structure of a tree—Roots (Past), Trunk (Present), and Branches (Future)—guiding teams through self-awareness, honest dialogue, and collective goal-setting. Participants shared personal or professional stories that connected them to the organization, surfacing values and motivations that are often unspoken. They then explored what belonging and collaboration mean today, identifying both shared frustrations and strengths. Finally, they co-created rituals, norms, and aspirations to guide how they’ll work together moving forward. This reflective work was paired with a high-energy team challenge phase, where puzzle pieces—representing parts of the shattered tree—had to be earned through skill-based games and creative problem-solving. It was a powerful mix of emotion and action, helping teams connect, align, and grow as one.
