Activity Program Flow

1. Context Setting & Ice Breakers (5–10 minutes)

Welcome to the Build a Boat Challenge! Teams are quickly formed and warmed up with fun icebreakers before hearing their mission — to build a floating boat using only cardboards/foamboards and tape.

2. Activity Briefing (5 minutes)

Your host shares the ground rules, the challenge goal, and what success looks like. Build smart, stay dry, and remember — it only needs to float for a few brave minutes!

3. Action Time (60–90 minutes)

Time to cut, fold, tape, and hope for the best. Teams get hands-on, solving problems and testing ideas as they create their water-worthy (or not) boat. The final test? A real splash launch!

4. Reflecting & Connecting (5 minutes)

After the race, teams reflect on what helped them float — or sink. The discussion brings out how creative problem-solving, shared decision-making, and resource coordination helped shape the outcome, mirroring real-world collaboration under tight timelines.

5. Closing & Wrap Up (5–10 minutes)

Winners are announced for best float, boldest build, and biggest splash. Everyone leaves with laughs, stories, and maybe a few soggy socks.
